Kforce is seeking a Java Web Developer for a client in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a full-time / permanent position opportunity!
As part of the Web Technologies Development Group, the Developer is responsible for performing software development functions to support a variety of mission-critical systems. This position will spend a majority of his/her time in hands-on, task-oriented, technical implementation of new feature development, new application development, and maintenance of existing applications. The Programmer Analyst will work closely with the Solution Architect, Lead Developer, and Team Manager for planning and direction. We work in a team-oriented environment requiring significant collaboration with other development team members to facilitate project completion. Will apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. Interact with a variety of people in the organization to impact the achievement of departmental objectives.

Qualifications:
- The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree
- 4+ years of experience with J2EE technologies, software development life cycles, and development tools or other directly related experience
- A combination of educational and experience may meet qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Java programming language, J2EE technologies, application servers, software architecture, Open-Source technologies, and software development methodology
- Our client currently uses Spring, Hibernate, Ehcache, JSP, Servlet, Struts, EJB 1.0, Ant, JavaScript, HTML 4.0, WebLogic, and WebSphere Application Servers and Oracle and DB2 Databases as well as Solaris, AIX, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems
- Database-specific responsibilities will involve a significant amount of reporting on the systems we support
- This is accomplished with SQL, PL-SQL, UNIX Shell scripting, Crystal Reports, etc.
- Database design principles need to be well understood along with the ability to work with complex database designs
- Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills; verbal and written
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues
- The ability to meet deadlines, schedules, and budgeted costs
- Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
