Java Web Developer
A Java Web Developer required by global media client in London. You will join a software engineering team that uses cutting edge technology to provide applications that put the business first for online content, customer service and sales. As a Software Engineer you'll be passionate about technology, enjoy pairing with other smart people and use your agile experiences to ensure your projects succeed. You will work within a fun and fast moving environment with extensive benefits. You will be given the chance to work with Groovy Grails and other newer technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop excellent quality software using agile techniques such as Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
*Take an active role in Story definition, assisting QA's and business stakeholders with Acceptance criteria
*Drive best technology and software development practices into the team with
passion and enthusiasm
*Participate in regular showcases of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders Requirements/ Skills
*Delivery experience within agile projects
*Knowledge and experience of a wide range of best of breed open source
and commercial technologies
*Experience of high capacity, high traffic, high availability websites/systems
*Understand of how the web works, from HTML to HTTP
*JAVA
*Knowledge of Front End and System Administration beneficial
*Bachelors' degree or equivalent industry experience
