A leading European Investment Bank with significant reach and reputation is seeking to hire an exceptional Calypso Java developer to develop extensions to Calypso back office modules (settlements, messages, external connectivity, accounting, collateral, position management). The strategic implementation platform is Calypso based on Java. Calypso is already implemented and flagshipped in the bank and used by cross-asset by derivatives businesses Fixed Income, Money Market, Credit, FX, Commodity and Equity businesses. Products traded are vanilla, exotic, and structured OTC and exchange traded derivatives and securities.

Responsibilities for the Java Calypso Developer – (FX/MM, IT, Calypso, Java, Developer) – London

• Development and configuration of enhancements and change requirements on the Calypso system

• Programming Java code using Calypso APIs

• Work in an agile team using market standard development and collaboration utilities

• Assist Support Analysts in resolving escalated issues

• Build and deploy Calypso to development environments

The Person Java Calypso Developer – (FX/MM, IT, Calypso, Java, Developer) – London

• Experience in commercial software including Java, RMI and JMS

• Calypso back office development (any version of Calypso) in continuous in-house development rather than consultancy or pilot projects

• Excellent object-oriented analysis, design development skills

• Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL including working experience with Oracle

• Familiarity with distributed systems

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
