About the Job
Our client, a leading transportation services company is looking for an experienced Java Developer for a 3 month contract assignment.
The Role:
As part of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the development of software for the organizations specific system.
The Software Engineer will work with the team through the full development lifecycle, working closely with the customer and other stakeholders through to acceptance. The position is based in Brisbane but some travel may be required.
Responsabilities;
Participate in the full development lifecycle including specification, estimation, design, implementation, integration, test, customer acceptance, deployment and working with systems analysts for defect investigation.
Enterprise and web programming tasks using Java, Java EE, JavaScript
Working with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and analyse new requirements arising from change requests.
Work with systems analysts in problem investigation, analysis, solution determination and associated task estimation.
Work collaboratively on design, implementation, review, test and acceptance following all designated standards and development guidelines.
Essential;
Minimum of 3 years Software Engineering Development experience
Strong experience with Java and Java EE related technologies such as EJB's, JSP's, DHTML.
Knowledge of SQL, Oracle and Weblogic.
Web Site design and development, including mobile sites.
Secure Web site transaction processing.
