Java/J2SE Developer – Immediate Start! – Front Office FX

There is a new role with an Investment Bank in London, looking for a Java Developer to join a high-calibre Front Office Technology Team, sitting directly with the Traders and Quants in a fast-paced FX Trading group.
The role offers extensive business interaction, opportunities for rapid progression and a cutting-edge technical environment.
The group are about to launch a major expansion programme to design and implement an FX HFT Platform, and Real-Time Pricing System from scratch.
Working closely with the Lead Developer in a business-facing capacity, you will be responsible for design and development of core components using Core Java/J2SE, JDBC and Maven. You will have extensive opportunities to learn the FX business and work directly with the Quants.
To be considered for the role you must have the following skills/experience:
Essential:
- Strong Java/J2SE Programming background
- Investment Banking experience (Front Office preferred - any asset class)
- Related Java technical skills - JDBC/Maven/Spring/Swing etc
Preferred:
- FX knowledge
- Swing knowledge
The role is looking for someone to start immediately, although a notice period will be considered up to 4 weeks.
Banking/Finance experience is essential - any asset class will be considered, Front Office preferred.
