Job Duties and Responsibilities Work hands-on and provide technical knowledge in design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of Enterprise Business Applications information systems. Analyze system requirements, create designs, and provide documentation by utilizing Dish Network specified tools and methodologies. Provide information system technology solutions by adhering to Dish Network prescribed life-cycle tools and methodologies. May provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and trouble-shooting to improve, advance, or simplify Dish Network business processes. Must be able to provide leadership within application development teams to deliver coordinated software solutions. Must work well in a team environment and must be willing to mentor junior team members. May define standards and procedures, refine methods and techniques for information modeling and best practices for application software development and deployment. Update SOX process documentation quarterly as required, complete quarterly SPOQ questionnaires as required and perform/monitor required SOX controls as described in Tutor documentation. Education and Experience Candidate must have a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree plus six years of experience. Skills and Qualifications Required Skills/Experiences : Java Batch development (at least 6 years) Oracle Database 9i or higher (at least 4 years) Preferred Skills/Experiences : Strong PLSQL and SQL skills including performance tuning. Unix Korn Shell scripting.
