JavaScript UI Developer / JavaScript Web Application Developer – High Profile Data Presentation Project, Tier One Investment Bank

Introduction: Montash Associates have been engaged by one of the World’s leading Investment Banks to assist in the acquisition of a talented JavaScript UI Developer / JavaScript Web Application Developer. This individual will work on a complex, interactive, cross-asset application that presents and manipulates data.

The Organisation: An Investment Bank globally recognised as one of the strongest and most stable in the industry. The bank has an extremely positive reputation.

The Team: This team plays a key part in the effective and efficient sharing of data across individuals within the company. The team has a global outlook and will be working on a highly interactive graphical system.

The Project: The main project will be focused on developing an internal, firm-wide programme for sharing data. The programme will have many custom components and the individual will be expected to contribute to the development and growth of these components, as well as other initiatives planned for the team.

The Role: The team are looking for a key developer who will play a vital role in the continuing development and evolution of the data network. This would be ideally suited to a web based application developer rather than a website developer. The individual will be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team. They will also have a proven track record of GUI development within a large organisation

The Skills:

Essential:

• Experience of UI development in web based enterprise applications

• Experience of JavaScript (ideally low level), CSS, HTML to a high level

• Familiarity with Internet Explorer 7

• Experience with at least one full-featured JavaScript toolkit

• Experience building custom controls/components, extending built-in components, custom theming, etc.

• Preferably more than 4 years of commercial experience in the above

• Good written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

• Familiarity with Apache Web server and TomCat

• Experience with JavaScript Unit Testing frameworks

• Knowledge of selenium or other Integration testing tools

• ActionScript

• Experience of JSON processing in JavaScript

• Graphics programming experience with Flash, Canvas, SVG

• Experience with Fireworks, Photoshop or similar

• Any knowledge of Unix or Java would be an advantage

The Package: The organisation in question is hiring a key member of a very high profile team. Due to the importance of this individual a base of up to £75,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Benefits Package can be achieved.
