JEE Developer / Software Engineer II
Job Description:
Looking for junior Software Engineers with current Cloud and Enterprise Java skills to perform life cycle software development for a cutting edge Research and Development project in the Annapolis Junction area. Tasking includes code development, system integration, testing against requirements, documentation, possible travel for deployments of the products, customer support and product maintenance.
Required Skills:
- 2-4 years experience with Enterprise Java development on Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability to produce quality code.
- Strong problem-solving ability and self-motivation.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
No clearance is required but qualified applicants should be willing to submit to the full security clearance process and meet minimum requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI with poly clearance required. Will be placed on a classified contract in the future.
Desired Skills:
- Unix and/or Linux experience from a software development perspective
- Java/J2EE (front, middle, back-end API knowledge)
- Web Services
- HTTP/REST protocol
- Scripting languages (Ruby, Perl, Python) are a plus
- Experience or knowledge with Cloud technologies is a plus
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline (or equivalent related experience in lieu of a degree).
