THE ROLE
The candidate will support the Client Portfolio Manager in delivering quality product information to internal and external clients, as well as in facilitating new product development/ launches.
This is an important role with a number of key responsibilities, including:
- Maintenance and updating of fund pitch-books and sales kits on regularly
- Writing and ensuring timely delivery of high quality monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and yearly fund reports
- Preparation of RFPs and also assist in creating and supporting RFP databases
- Maintain and update key product / investment data
- Support marketing efforts and provide relevant assistance to internal departments to ensure a successful product development/ launch. This would include preparation of high quality marketing materials for road shows and fund launches
- Build knowledge of Fixed Income and Structured products and target excellence in product management skills across reporting, presentation packs and new product support
- Monitor and analyse product competitiveness
- Support the extensive network of regional clients
- Be a core support function of the team and strive to add value at all stages of work
- Assist in responding to ad-hoc fund related enquiries/requests
THE CANDIDATE
The candidate should be a self-starter who has the ability to use their own initiative and work independently. The role requires an excellent team player who can build strong relationships through effective communication. The candidate should be highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects within strict deadlines.
Accuracy is imperative when producing material - therefore an eye for detail, being comfortable with numbers and a high level of competency in PowerPoint are all essential. The candidate should have a can – do attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and good command of written and spoken English, an ability to write and speak in Mandarin would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials with a background in Economics or Finance with a least 3- 5 years experience in the investment industry and a strong understanding of the fund management business and financial markets. A candidate pursuing a CFA qualification would be a definite advantage.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPEREINCE
- 3- 5 years of experience in marketing / product management functions within the asset management industry
- Knowledge in Fixed Income and Structured products preferred
- Financial/Business related degree
- CFA preferred but not required
- High standard of written English
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills – excellent PowerPoint skills necessary

This role will be an initial 6 month contract with a view to convert to permanent based on performance
