Develop employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.

As a vital part of our marketing team, the Job Developer (Bronx/Westchester) serves as a placement resource for our employment training programs by providing job development support in the Bronx and Westchester.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Working with Business Community:
1. Making cold calls and sales presentations to employers (on phone and in person) to sell YAI Network's employment programs and participants.
2. Develop and maintain active job bank.
3. Work to gain commitments from employers to interview and potentially hire individual with disabilities who have completed YAI Network's employment training program.
4. Prospecting for potential new business and working to develop relationships with employers through active stewardship.
5. Serving as liaison between employers and YAI Network program staff.
6. Managing relationships with employers that will lead to multiple hires and further involvement with the organization as a whole.

Working with YAI Network Employment Training Programs and Participants:
5. Conducting mock interviews with program trainees to assist with interview skill building as well and to assess job readiness, strengths, and interests.
6. Working with program staff during candidate selection process to ensure appropriate job matches are made.
7. Accompanying participants on job interviews as needed.

Administrative Support:
8. Keeping updated records and reports of job placements and maintaining/updating department databases.
9. Working with Assistant Manager of Corporate Relations to implement marketing strategies and special projects.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will:

* Have a Bachelor's degree, some sales/development experience and experience working with individuals with disabilities or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Have prior experience with project management
* Have computer experience, preferably MS Word, Excel, Access and FileMaker Pro
* Have a valid Driver's license and own transportation preferred
* Be organized, self-starting, assertive, resourceful and goal-oriented
* Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
* Appreciate the value of working as part of a team
* Have solid networking, follow-up and development skills
* Be willing to travel throughout Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester Long Island
