Electrical and Data Center Experience

UGL Services Unicco Operations has an immediate opening for a Journeyman with Electrical and Data Center experience in S. San Francisco, CA.
General Position/Summary of Position Requirements:
The Critical Environments Facility Response Technician (FRT) will have direct responsibility for daily shift operations and maintenance of critical mechanical, electrical and control systems at the data center.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Customer Service
§ Respond to customer service requests in a timely manner
§ Maintain positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients
§ Respond to emergency calls
§ Escalate issues to Critical Environment Chief Engineer as needed
Maintain Data Center Systems
§ Perform routine maintenance tasks.
§ Work with vendors and contractors to oversee and ensure work meets UGL/Client standards
§ Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
§ Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend upgrades.
§ Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
§ Solicit proposals for repairs needing to be outsourced.
§ Perform out of scope work as directed.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Secondary Functions/Responsibilities:
· Participate in special projects as assigned
· Ensure all Projects are performed safely and IAW the UGL Safety Policies/Procedures
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
· Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings.

Specific Job Skills/Requirements:
· The candidate must be familiar with the typical mechanical, electrical and life safety monitoring and control systems associated to critical environments; 5+ years (or equivalent) of Journeyman level Electrical experience preferred
· 5 years (or equivalent) of experience in a data center or other Critical Environment preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong team participation skills
· Computer proficiency in applicable programs with Microsoft Office applications.
· Requires ability to make routine physical tours of jobsite, possibly in construction and other environments
· Must have working knowledge of Data Center Operations and critical systems and configurations
Must understand UPS, GENSET, AND Switchgear equipment and functionality
Education and/or Experience:
· A minimum of 5 years experience in facilities related environments.
· Trade Certification or state licensing in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC)
· Professional Affiliations are preferred
