JOURNEYMAN LINESPERSON
This immediate opening for a team player will perform construction and maintenance work on our electric transmission and distribution facilities on Kaua'i. In addition to training and directing the work of employees in lower classifications, the Lineperson will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair transmission, distribution, secondary and service systems as well as install, remove, maintain and inspect secondary lines, services, and meters.
Qualifications and Requirements:
o Must pass Differential Aptitude Test (standardize test of verbal reasoning, numerical ability, abstract reasoning and mechanical ability) and other job related tests as deemed necessary by the cooperative;
o Must be a graduate of an accredited Lineperson apprenticeship program or possess equivalent knowledge;
o Must have or be able to obtain a valid State of Hawai'i Drivers License, class B (CDL);
o Must be able to lift, carry, and/or move up to 75 pounds;
o Must be available to respond to emergencies.
