Eaton Corporation Energy Solutions Division has an opening for a Jr. Commissioning Engineer in Lakewood, CO. This position supports the commissioning team in performing design phase tasks such as design reviews, specifications, and creation of testing documentation. In construction, involves job site inspections, executing functional testing of mechanical equipment, and technical writing. Supports energy team in performing energy and water audits, and building systems computer modeling and analysis; supports design team in performing preliminary systems analysis and design (one-line sketches). Reports to Project Manager. This position will be responsible for performing commissioning tasks such as functional testing, technical writing, participation in client meetings and training sessions. Perform energy engineering consisting of performing onsite energy audits, data input, energy modeling, energy, utility, water rate analysis, evaluation of energy and water conservation measures May perform preliminary design reviews of mechanical or electrical systems supporting HVAC, central plant and building automation systems, and fire safety. Assists in performance of mechanical/electrical systems analysis or design Assists with progress and other report writing Participates in data gathering and construction site observations Assists with preparing test procedures for mechanical/electrical systems operations Position Criteria: Proficient in computer skills utilizing current Windows operating systems and software; Experience with spreadsheets, data entry, formulas, and data manipulation; Ability to quickly learn modeling software. Proficient speaking and writing skills for report writing and presentation to clients. Able to conduct on-site surveys in variety of building types accessing rooftop units, mechanical rooms, and basement equipment, or equipment located on building grounds outdoors. Able to travel for projects Preferred Criteria: 3 years of building commissioning experience Please note this position does not include relocation. Only local candidates will be considered. Basic Qualifications Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution - Minimum of 1 year work experience in energy engineering or design - Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship - Valid Driver ??s License.
