Risk and Compliance provide risk and compliance services across all BNY Mellon businesses. Organizationally, Risk and Compliance includes the following groups: Risk Management, Compliance, Global Corporate Security, Information Risk Management and Global Business Continuity. Risk Management oversees and delivers risk services and ensures new business risks are reviewed and approved. Risk Management is organized through Chief Risk Offices for each core business and critical operation. Risk managers provide shared support to BNY Mellon for operational risk services for Global Corporate Trust, Depositary Receipts, Treasury Services and Global Operations in EMEA. Compliance helps ensure BNY Mellon's businesses maintain appropriate processes to comply with applicable laws, regulations, BNY Mellon policies and ethics. This is accomplished through business- and business partner-specific teams of professionals, under centralized global management.

Description

This closely supervised entry level Analyst position involves credit analysis, loan structure and loan documentation. The incumbent similarly will be exposed to the bank's reporting and tracking systems and the basic underwriting credit document. The Analyst will learn how to evaluate liquidity, cash flow sensitivity and debt repayment capacity and begin to create underwriting packages for use in the approval process.

Qualifications

Requires a minimum a Bachelor's degree, preferred in finance, accounting and/or mathematics. Strong oral and written communication skill; sPC literacy including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Internet is required. A BA or MBA in accounting or finance, strong oral and written communication skill; strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. PC literacy including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Internet is required. Nature and complexity of problems and underwriting varies, depending on circumstances, including business conditions, industry, economic environment, stagey, opportunities, relationship background and consideration of credit and structure. Nature and area of impact relates to the credit appetite and the Firm's strategy in connection with credit and extension of credit to various industries or wealth mgt relationships and its support to LOB's in their relationships. Interaction for the Junior Analyst is internal and on a limited basis external. Interaction will consist of credit discussions related to business, industry, economic environment, stagey, opportunities, relationship background and consideration of credit and structure. Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills and ability to work independently are required.
