Job Description Job Title: Jr. Security Engineer (CISSP/CCNA/MCSE) -- Secret and EoD Clearance) Requisition ID: 12000CD Job Category: Information Security Engineer 5 Primary Location: USA-VA: VIRGINIA-ARLINGTON Schedule: Full-time Job Type: Regular Employee Status: Regular Job Posting: Mar 16, 2012, 2:41:26 PM Description Junior Security Engineer Security engineer with 3-4 years of experience to review and develop technical solutions for the remediation of Security Vulnerability findings created as a result of Information Assurance (IA) security scans or audits. Engineer will be responsible for: · Review of the technical finding raw data · Technical analysis of vulnerability findings; developing and producing written analysis of the Security Vulnerability finding, when required. · Solution development for remediation of the identified vulnerabilities, as needed. · Review of change management requests for security related impacts · Documentation development and maintenance - Implementation Procedures, Change Control documentation, Design documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc. · Solution testing and validation, as needed. · Solution implementation, as needed. · Evidence collection · Communications/Coordination with system Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and other officials as required Position Requirements: · Candidate must possess an active Secret Clearance, or above · Experience with Windows Server and Workstation Administration · Experience with reviewing, creating and updating technical documentation · Experience with scanning tools (Nessus, Foundstone, AppScan) and the raw data produced by these tools (Desired) · Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills · Team player with the capability of working independently · Technical security certifications such as Security, CISSP, CEH (Desired) · Other professional certifications such as CCNA, MCSE or MCSA w/SQL Certifications, OCP, SCSA, etc. (Desired) Desired but not required: · DHS, TSA or other DHS component security experience · DHS, TSA or other DHS component EOD · Experience with hardening systems based on DOD STIG Guidelines · Experience in Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL 2000/2005) and/or Oracle Database Administration · Experience in UNIX, Solaris or Linux Administration Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred Four or more years of experience in network, host, data and/or application security in multiple operating system environments Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists Experience working with internet, web, application and network security techniques Experience working with relevant operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.) Experience working with leading firewall, network scanning and intrusion detection products and authentication technologies Experience working with federal regulations related to information security (FISMA, Computer security Act, etc.) Experience working with NIST Special Publications and C A process methodology Possess security certifications (CISSP, CCNA, etc) and/or top secret security clearance Other Qualifications Good communication skills Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve network/operating system security issues Ability to perform and interpret vulnerability assessments Ability to administer the operations of a security infrastructure Ability to balance and prioritize work Remote Work Authorized: No Relocation Assistence: Not Available Clearance Level: Secret
