Description
- Working with the Category Manager, the specialist will assist in the development, clarification and definition of end–user requirements; assist clients to define the processes applicable to the category of services being procured.
- The Sourcing Specialist will also support and build the management of the client relationship as directed by Category Lead.
- Under guidance, the specialist will take the lead in coordinating formal bidding processes, supplier selection, contract negotiations and supplier management.
- The Specialist will also be responsible for coordinating and undertaking formal reporting projects for categories under management, including supplier performance management, spend and contract analysis, Industry and Supplier research, Financial analyses and administrative management of other category related activities both within Procurement and as required by external clients.
- Execute activities related to supply chain functions and ensure that daily targets are met and quality is maintained as per SLA/Operations metrics:
Key Activities:
- Create PO (Purchase orders)
-Answer Supplier and customer inquiries
- Look up order information in SAP
- Follow up with Suppliers on open order status
- Update relavant data in SAP
- Enter supplier response details in SAP
- Must adhere to Client's procurement policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Candidate MUST meet these Basic Qulifications: - 1 year of relevant Supply chain/client work experience - BS/BA in Business Management or equivalent (Associate degree also acceptable with good work experience)
