Our Company has an opening for a full-time, experienced “Jr. Web Developer” to develop and maintain multiple Corporate Internet websites and Intranet to support corporate objective.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Work with our applications development teams, design team and business units to deliver and implement new and enhanced web service for their product lines.

·         Work with our business areas to design new services to address current and future E-Commerce needs.

·         Contribute to the review, recommendation and implementation of the tool sets for Web Development.

·         Work closely with the IT and Communications Media departments to consolidate the functionality and appearance of our websites, give them proper ACS brand strength and build a functioning e-commerce site.

 

Qualifications/ Education: 

·         Web Developer with 1-2 years of experience

·         Able to work on all aspects of the web site; Backend Architecture, interface design, PHP, ASP, Javascript, HTML, DHTML,CSS and has an overall knowledge of web standards and best practices.

·         Knowledge of Apache web server and usage of cPanel.

·         Knowledge of CMS tools such as Joomla, WordPress, Drupal.

·         Knowledge of e-Commerce tools such as Magneto, OSCommerce, and Zencart as well as other platforms.

·         Good work experience in these protocols and languages – PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby (on Rails), ASP, ADO, JavaScript, VB, VB Script, HTML, DHTML, ASP.net, ADO.net.

·         Knowledge of SEO and SEM techniques.

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint an asset.

·         Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.

·         Independent worker with excellent communication skills - able to present ideas and concepts

·         Ability to communicate effectively with various business users.

·         Good-to-have skills include: NET, JSP, JAVA, Websphere, DB2, some creative design and graphic skills using Adobe Photoshop.
