Jr. Windows Systems Administrator Job in Scott Air Force Base 62225, Illinois US


Our client currently has an opening for a Junior Windows System Administrator with an Active Secret Clearance to be located in O’Fallon, Illinois.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for Microsoft Windows system administration support, to include Windows Server 2003 and 2008 O/S installations, file system sharing, security, and management, adding and configuring devices.

  • Responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft and windows-based third party COTS software.

  • Monitors, evaluates and optimizes system performance, develops disaster recovery procedures, provides system backup strategies, and implements system security policies.

  • Configures, administers and maintains Apache HTTP servers, and Apache Tomcat JAVA and ColdFusion application servers.

  • Provides systems administration services for Oracle and Microsoft SQL servers

  • Experience with SSH and WinSCP.

    • ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelors degree and 2+ years relevant experience (or commensurate background and experience).

  • CompTia Security+ Certification required.

    • Experience:

  • Must have Microsoft Server 2003/2008 system administration experience.

  • Familiar with DISA STIGs and related security publications.

  • Experience and/or familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Sharepoint Services, Microsoft SQL Server and/or Microsoft Project Server a plus.

  • Experience with DoD systems a plus.

  • UNIX (Solaris) experience a plus.

  • Oracle and Microsoft SQL server experience a plus.
