Seeking a Front Office Manager with an Accounting Degree to run the Office and assist the Controller in the Accounting functions. Ideally this person will eventually be groomed to take over the role of Controller.

Ideal Candidate will have a bachelors in Accounting.

2 - 4 Years hands on with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory management. Accounts receivable should include collection experience. Also experience in preparing financial schedules and analyses. Person may also be involved with personnel management. Experience here would be nice but not a deal breaker. Same thoughts on IT experience.

Some supervisory experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. Some data base management experience may be helpful also.

Experience should be in a high volume manufacturing or distribution environment. No real estate, medical or attorney offices, and not for profits.

Basic Accounting Experience:

Support Controller in all accounting duties, i.e. monthly closings, accruals, account analysis, production result, variance, standard cost of production, etc.

Position Functions

Be proficient with the company cost system for both Manufacturing and Engineering and perform related projects as required.

Perform period end accounting closing process with Controller.

Prepare journal vouchers for accruals, reversals and expense re-allocations.

Support operational functions in resolving accounting and control system problems as directed.

Back up Payroll function including Time and Attendance Access Control system maintenance.

Maintain fixed asset records.

Assist in providing outside auditors with all required accounting data.

Issue all Accounting and Financial reports to management after period end closing.

Maintain detailed account analysis for all General Ledger accounts not supported by subsystems and refer all issues to the Controller

Process ECO’s as required.

Cross-train in A/R., A/P and perform associated bank reconciliations

Other duties as required

Accounting degree.

Knowledge of business systems, PC literate with experience in desktop application software MS Office, as well as payroll, time and attendance systems and ERP systems, communication both verbal and written.
