Junior Automation Engineer

Job Description – Junior Automation Engineer - $50/hr

 

Brief Description

§         2 + years of automation/scripting experience

§         Write and execute automated scripts based on test cases for Wireless LAN devices

§         Working knowledge with wireless, 802.11a/b/g

§         Education: BS EE/CS required

 

Scope of Responsibility

§         Develop enhance automated test scripts in Tcl/Expect

§         Manage, Execute automated regression test suites and test tools in WLAN environments

§         Manage, Execute manual test procedures to set up tests and verify defects

§         Analyze test outputs and report results to test leads

§         Work with developers and testers to debug test failures and file defect reports

§         Work with QA teams to port test suites into test environments
 

Skill Set

§         Strong scripting/debugging skills (Tcl preferred)

§         2 + years of automation/testing in data communication industry (LAN, WAN, WLAN)

§         Knowledge of WLAN, L2/L3 (Ethernet, TCP/IP), SNMP, HTTP, Linux/UNIX/Windows operating systems.

§         Knowledge of WLAN advanced/security protocols (WEP, 802.1x, WPA/TKIP, WPA2/AES/802.11i, WME/WMM/802.11e, IPSec VPN, Firewalls a plus.

§         Experience using network monitoring and analysis tools to debug Ethernet/Wireless/IP layer problems a plus…
