Junior C# software developer – large global Hedge Fund Company recruitment
An incredible opportunity for a junior developer to join the front office development team of a large global hedge fund. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to gain exposure to development in a front office development environment; learn and be trained by very experienced front office developers; gain exposure to working with traders and Portfolio Managers in a variety of asset classes (FX, Fixed Income, Credit, Equity derivatives, options, futures, structured derivatives); and work in an environment with low-ego, highly skilled technical people.
The role will involve working as directed by senior developers but also being pro-active and being able to work efficiency and unsupervised where necessary. You will be expected to “hit the ground running” and will have the opportunity to interact with front office users and work on software that directly affects the trading capabilities of the firm.
Key responsibilities:
-Be part of a development team building robust global solutions for front office in C#.
-To adhere to in-house software development process; deliver solutions in a timely, efficient manner
-Tactical development, Application support from time-to-time
Required Technical Competencies:
• Good knowledge of OO programming and computer science fundamentals
• C#.Net 3.5 or 4.0
• WCF, WPF
• Visual Studio 2010
• SQL Server 2005
