Harrington Starr is working with a Global Hedge Fund specialising is Automated trading is looking for a Junior C++ / C#.NET Developer with some commercial experience to join front office trading operations. This is a great opportunity for a 2nd jobber with Development skills with C++ or C# to break into financial services. The Junior Developer will have a good understanding of C, C++ Development. You can also have experience in C#.NET development but whatever your preferred programming language is you must be able to demonstrate software engineering, Object orientated programming (OOP) with multi threading.
They build high performing Automated Trading application which handle 1000's of traders per minute. The systems are Automated trading systems which are low latency and HFT applications. The technology landscape has a mixture of C, C++ and C# codes which you will be directly working and building on.
This C++ or C# Developer role would be ideal for a 2nd jobber who is keen to get into financial services technology. You will be exposed to building high performance, low latency automated trading applications. You will learn all about FX, Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities and Derivatives,
The role is highly interactive and you will be working directly alongside the business. You must have clear written and verbal communication skills as you will interact with end users 90% of the day.
Key Technical Skills:
* Commercial experience in developing C or C++
* Commercial experience in developing C#.NET
* Experience with OOP and Multi threading development
* Knowledge of Windows operating systems
* Financial knowledge of derivatives products would be advantageous.
