Optiver is operating in an increasingly complex and fast developing regulatory environment. The Compliance function is mandated to help safeguarding compliant business conduct and to manage regulatory challenges. The compliance team advises on regulatory developments and risks with respect to Optiver's strategic objectives and on-going business activities. As an independent control, Compliance also identifies, assesses, monitors and reports on all aspects of compliance risks and works with all areas of business and management to resolve regulatory issues.

What you’ll do
As our Junior Compliance Analyst you will be supporting the compliance team. In this role, you will be conducting regulatory research and analysis, preparing and executing Compliance reporting as well as supporting the execution of compliance tasks, like monitoring. Moreover you will be:
• Executing research and analysis on specific regulatory subjects;
• Supporting the Compliance department, predominantly the Compliance Officer Trading Advisory in day-to-day tasks;
• Preparing research on exchange regulation;
• Executing research on individual questions relating to product and strategy approvals;
• Preparing in- and external Compliance reporting;
• Supporting the establishment of management reporting on monitoring results;
• Maintaining and further developing our Compliance Risk Management Database.

What you’ll need
• Academic Degree in Law, Finance, Business Economics or related field;
• Around 1-3 years working experience in the financial industry, preferably in a control discipline;
• A strong interest in financial markets and trading;
• An analytical mind;
• A pro-active and assertive attitude;
• Affinity for IT would be advantageous;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
