To strengthen our controlling department in Belgium, we are looking for a Junior Controller.
FUNCTION
As Junior Controller you report to the Manager of the Controlling department, this role is articulated around two main areas:
- Preparation and presentation of management reporting and analysis.
- Financial control and process improvement to achieve higher profitability and reduce risks.
Your main responsibilities as Junior Controller include:
- Be responsible of dedicated parts of financial reporting (e.g. new order volume, margins, sales opportunities, sales with international customers)
- Participate in the monthly closing process in cooperation with the accounting team (accurate and timely preparation of financial statements)
- Monitoring of departmental running expenses and investments.
- Carry out various ad-hoc controlling analyses.
- Be back-up for the legal validation and follow up of customer tenders and projects reporting and escalation towards the Legal Advisor.
PROFILE
The ideal profile for the function of Junior Controller:
- You have a business or economics Master’s degree, with a first relevant professional experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, good Access and Word knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills, both regarding financial and legal information.
- Possess very good communication and interpersonal skills, with a problem-solving approach.
- Business oriented, willing to understand the business of the company.
- Ability and willingness to work under tight deadlines.
- Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
