Junior Data Modelling Analyst – Commodities recruitment
The Client:
My client, a large commodities analytics firm is looking to set up a new gas analytics publication. The publication will target financial, legal, trading and economic industry movements and will cover the gas industry on a global level.
The role:
This is a start up project and the team is looking to bring in a junior data modelling analyst to develop the database from scratch. As such you can be expected to be involved in:
- Database modelling and programming
- Advanced modelling of gas and power supply / demand fundamentals
- Modelling of Gas prices and forecasting
- Developing and maintaining eForums and eReports
- Deal with clients at financial and trading level
Once the project is launched and up and running, the role will then lean more heavily towards data modelling, gas supply / demand analysis and programming.
Requirements:
- Ideally have experience in setting up databases from Scratch
- Understanding of the Oil and Gas industry
- Passion to become an integral part of a start up firm
Technologies / Not limited to but useful:
-MY/SQL, PL/SQL, C++, MATLAB, VBA, Excel, .NET, HTML
