Junior Electrical Engineer

Our new 100+ person program supporting the Terrorist Explosives Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) has created a requirement for a Electrical Engineer in our Lorton, VA location.

The mission of TEDAC is to coordinate and manage the unified effort of law enforcement, intelligence, and military assets for the forensic and technical exploitation of hazardous devices of interest to the U.S. government worldwide, in an effort to provide actionable intelligence to the offensive missions against terrorism and to the Force Protection mission.

The mission of our Electrical Engineer is to use your technical expertise in the forensic analysis of detonator devices!

Electrical Engineer Job Duties:

1. The Junior Electrical Engineer position is located in Lorton, VA supporting TEDAC in specialized analysis of various electro-mechanical devices.

2. Analyze electronic circuits and schematics to determine functionality.

3. Develop accurate schematics in a timely fashion of complicated devices in various conditions.

4. Accurately enter characteristics of devices into databases and other tools for further analysis.

5. Accurately and concisely write documents, detailing findings of analysis.

6. Develop tools and techniques to help minimize the analysis time of a given device.

7. Ad hoc support as needed to fulfill the mission.

Requirements:

1. B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 1 year relevant experience in hardware and software reverse engineering analysis, or 4 years of experience without a degree.

2. United States citizen with a Top Secret clearance.

3. Working knowledge of a wide variety of electronics--both hardware and software to include at least some of the following or similar:

a. Mobile Phone and SIM Card technology

b. EEPROM

c. Microprocessors

d. Microcontrollers

e. GPS

4. Experience with the following is a PLUS:

a. machine code, assembly language, C+, etc.

b. Adobe PhotoShop

c. schematic derivation

d. digital photography

e. flowchart and state/block diagram derivation
