Junior Equity Analyst -Long/Short Equity Hedge Fund
A major UK Hedge Fund based in the Capital is looking to add a Junior Equity Analyst to their team of Equity Fund Managers and Analysts. This Investment Fund is long-term focused and operates on an Absolute Return basis, with $3 Billion in its AUM.
Candidates will be outstanding sell-side equity analysts or current buy-side analysts at a Hedge Fund with no more than three years experience in both cases, as this will be a Junior role, but with steady and expansive career progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- You will focus on long-short equities and event-special situations using bottom-up fundamental research and assisting with the Equity Analystw
- You will be operating deep-dive analysis of stocks, regarding individual value-based investments.
- Close interaction with the Portfolio Manager who will be mentoring you during all the stages of the investment process and trading implementation
- Identifying and investigating through due diligence and analysis of new stocks
- You will be assisting in the advisory of portfolio construction
The right candidate should have the following traits:
• An Outstanding top-tier Univeristy Eductaion with a strong degree
• Familiarity with the events driven and special situations strategy is key
• No more than three years in equities at a Top-tier Investment Bank or Hedge Fund
• A driven and keen mindset to drive in an internationally renowned Hedge Fund, as more Senior roles will open later
