Junior Financial Analyst recruitment
Responsibilities will include effective and efficient analysis of all financial planning, reporting and other relevant financial matters for management, shareholder and supervisory purposes with specific focus on the companies KPIs.
In addition, ensure that all Global transactions/deals are underpinned by effective financial and strategic due diligence
Main tasks/activities/responsibilities
• Provide key market analysis based on key market trends and financial research. Provide story line- market input to Global product reports
• Collect collate reporting input from local teams to produce a complete market view to agreed standard formats, providing input for the company board reports:
- US GAAP
- EVM KPI
• Analysis and calculation of other KPIs such as Capital (cash generation), dividends and ROE
• Assist the team to prepare regular updates on key initiatives and projects
• Assist in organising and steering target setting- and planning processes, including projection, roll forward, bottom up planning and plan presentation.
• Draft regular management reports such as forecasting packs, competitor analysis and other management presentations
• Assist senior members of the team to prepare investor relations deliverables such as quarterly presentations and investor QA
• Contribute as an active member of the transactions team assisting senior members of the Finance team in all potential transactions/deals being under taken by the company and/any other companies in the Group.
• Support financial due diligence, risk and strategic analysis of targets and competitors providing key inputs into a deal life cycle.
Job requirements
• Degree qualified with strong math or business focus e.g. Engineering, finance, business
• Qualified accountant e.g. ACA
• Financial Services or Audit and transaction services experience in the insurance sector
• Experience with new regulatory policies within insurance space such as Solvency II and in executive strategy input (deal and transaction based)
• Working knowledge of USGAAP, EVM and Statutory reporting
• Transaction due diligence
• Ability to work with and present to key stakeholders and senior management.
• Working understanding of the actuarial process and able to work with actuarial peers to test ‘reasonableness’ of results.
• Technical and commercial appreciation of financial services markets
