Our client comprises the RD effort of a global algorithmic trading team within a US Investment Bank. The team is focused on the research and development of all of the trading strategies, tools, analytics and trading systems that drive the firms sell side algorithmic trading effort across FX, rates, commodities and fixed income instruments.
As a junior financial engineer, you will work on the full lifecycle of a variety of research and C++ development projects for the business. This opportunity is most likely to best suit a junior quantitative developer looking for an entry-point into a mature and global algorithmic trading business.
The opportunity for growth will come in a number of ways. First, the team enjoys a global cross-market mandate. This provides the ability for team members to work and gain domain expertise across a variety of asset classes and markets. This has allowed the group to attract and retain some of the best talent. Requirements:
• MS/ PhD in Computer Science or related discipline from a top 10 US or UK Institution.
• Ideally, 1-3 years post academic industry experience focused on the research and C++ implementation of automation tools and algorithms. Finance experience is not necessary.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and one or more scripting language.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
