Junior Financial Journalist

dealReporter has a vacancy for an entry level financial journalist who is keen to progress in a career of investigative reporting.

The role is with a fast-paced news service publishing real time scoops on large cap corporates. The right candidate will enjoy taking on intellectual challenges and breaking stories.

The role is based in either London or Frankfurt and is solely focused on off-diary reporting. The right candidate will be as happy working on a story independently as working with a team of sector specialists to stack up a hypothesis on a company.

dealReporter’s team of multi-lingual journalists focus on high profile MA deals and corporate events as well as providing detailed analysis on the financial health of European large-cap corporates.

Candidates should have strong writing and interpersonal skills with experience at another financial news service, newspaper or online publication. They should be happy to make new sources, chase leads and pick up technical information easy.  Fluency in German or other European language would be an advantage, but not essential. A contact book of MA sources would be a huge bonus.
