Junior Financial Risk Analyst Energy Sector recruitment
We trade the full range of energy commodities such as electricity, gas, oil, renewable energies, forex and we are responsible for optimisation and hedging of physical production assets in Italy.
For our Risk Management team located in Genoa (Italy) we are looking for a Junior Financial Risk Analyst possibly with an experience in a Energy firm.
The ideal candidate will be involved in credit and market risk analysis which include:
- Analysis of daily exposures for all books and desks
- Daily VaR reports and analysis
- Prepare, review and summarise reports on structured deals (options, VPP, swings etc.)
- Credit exposure measurement and analysis
- Reporting - prepare timely and concise credit position reports
- Co-operation with traders, middle office dept, and software developers
The qualified candidate shall have the following requirements:
- Graduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar subject
- 2/3 years of experience on risk analysis gained in the energy sector would be preferred
- Specific energy commodity understanding and detailed knowledge of power and gas markets
- Proficient in Excel and Excel VBA
- Programming skills: advanced knoledge in at least on of these: C/C++ , C#, Java design patterns or MatLab
- Highly analytical
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill is required in italian as well as in english
- Adaptability to change and new ways of working quickly and easily
