Junior fixed Income derivatives strategist- London
A leading fixed income and credit derivatives strategy team are currently looking to add to their team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate/Junior candidate to move into a role which will utilise both your technical and interpersonal skills working in a front office position.
Your responsibilities and experience will include:-
- Testing and developing derivative strategies indices primarily in fixed income and credit, but also in equities and other asset classes
- Working closely with sales and IT
- Back-testing strategies
- Data collection/Index strategy development.
You must have an analytical ability as your role will span all aspects of developing derivative strategies creation from data collection and back testing.
Proficiency in VBA/SQL is therefore required in addition to C# - Please do not apply if you are not an expert level coder in these languages
The ideal candidate will have experience working as an index analyst or derivatives analyst at internship level and therefore be looking to use your technical skills within a front office position in a leading team. You must be able to demonstrate in interview that you are comfortable with Data vendor software and have in-depth knowledge of financial markets.
You must also be able to demonstrate the following:-
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Organised, energetic and able to work independently.
- High attention to detail and excellent data management
- Enthusiastic and proactive, focused on delivery and quality of the projects
In order to apply you must have an MSC/PHD from a leading school in a computing, finance-related subject.
BSC and highly relevant internship will be considered.
