Harrington Starr is working with a newly formed Financial Software Vendor to find a Junior Java Developer to work on the development of a Greenfield FIX Connectivity Hub that will form the cornerstone of their business going forward.
As the Junior Java Developer (Multi-Threading, J2SE, Clustering, Concurrency) you will be working on the development of a Greenfield FIX connectivity hub that allows this Vendor to connect directly to their clients. This has been architected and developed from scratch in last 6 months and they need a Junior Developer to help them continue to develop it and get it to a position where they can roll it out to clients. You will be using Multi-Threaded Java and working with a strong knowledge of clustering and data sockets.
This Vendor was formed this year and has substantial backing from Venture Capital and is looking to grow by a significant amount. You will be working in an agile and TDD environment and will be able to gain strong experience with both Java development and business knowledge.
As the Junior Java Developer (Multi-Threading, J2SE, Clustering, Concurrency) you will need:
* A strong understanding of Core Java Development - Essential
* Strong knowledge of Multi-Threaded Java - Highly Beneficial
* Knowledge of Concurrency Issues - Highly Beneficial
* Experience with Caching and Data Sockets - Highly Beneficial
* Experience with real time or near real time systems - Beneficial
* Knowledge of FIX - Beneficial
* Experience with Greenfield development - Beneficial
This is a great opportunity for a Junior Java Developer (Multi-Threading, J2SE, Clustering, Concurrency) to work on a rare Greenfield project from the beginning and help construct a FIX connectivity hub from scratch. You will be able to join the team when they are just getting started on the project and help build the hub from scratch.
