Position Description

MSIM strives to provide outstanding long-term investment performance, service and a comprehensive suite of investment management solutions to a diverse client base, which includes governments, institutions, corporations and individuals worldwide.
As a member of Global Liquidity Solutions Group Liquidity Sales, the qualified individual will work under a senior sales leader in a junior sales capacity. The junior sales role involves wholesaling the MSIM liquidity funds to tier one distribution platforms and establishing new relationships with a variety of end investors such as corporations, municipalities, hedge funds, insurance companies, healthcare organizations and universities. The roles also involves working with the senior sales person on new opportunities in a support capacity as well as managing relationships with existing clients. The position requires extensive coordination with internal relationships including portfolio management, marketing, legal and operations as well as interact with colleagues around the firm. Based in New York City, the position requires significant travel. The specific territory coverage has yet to be determined.

Responsibilities:
• Establish fund and customized separate account relationships with a well-defined sub-set of end-investor prospects
• Requires significant ground-up prospecting and relationship development
• Wholesale funds to key distribution platforms
• Serve in a relationship management capacity on several platform and end investor relationships
• Prepare for and attend client conference - execute on pre-conference prospect and client calling programs
• Work with product management to prepare materials/ presentations for client meetings
• Support the senior sales person in all aspects of their sales and relationship management efforts
• Build excellent communications across client service teams including marketing, operations and the portfolio specialist teams
• Provide operational support for platforms and institutions in United States

Skills Required

• 4-7 years of related experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree required
• Liquidity sales experience required
• Successful sales track record required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent references
