My client is a leading asset management firm who offer the very best of investment services to areas of statistical arbitrage and other hedge-fund strategies. Through outstanding growth and success over the past year the client is now looking to bring on board an exceptional hands-on Junior-Mid C++ Software Developer/Engineer for their team in London. The successful candidate will join a very fast-paced team and bring solid knowledge in all phases of a product’s life cycle from initial design/concept to its final implementation. The candidate will join a small team of developers and look to drive projects forward whilst in their infancy, having an a key input in developing aspects of the high-frequency trading (HFT) server. Being in a smaller team of developers the Junior-Mid C++ Developer will be integral to all dimensions of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), however, the role also enables the successful candidate to report directly to the senior partners in the UK and Head Trader in New York, thus, gaining great exposure to the business side of the firm also.
Junior-Mid C++ Software Developer/Engineer, Leading Asset Management Firm, London requires the following skill-set;
• Exceptional C++ programming skills
• Secondary programming in Java is a plus
• STL/Boost
• Perl/Python
• Multithread/Low Latency/Real-time systems and programming
• Solid architectural knowledge
• Analytical/Problem-solving
• Design and implementation
• hands-on and self-motivated
• Master/PhD (e.g. Computer Science/Electrical Engineering etc) – Top Level University
Responsibilities for Junior-Mid C++ Software Developer/Engineer, Leading Asset Management Firm, London;
• Participation in all aspects of SDLC
• Analysis (functional non-functional)
• Strong architectural knowledge for scalability/availability/consistency, detailed design
• Deployment and ongoing maintenance, support and continual enhancement
• Report to Senior Partners/Head Traders
