JUNIOR PERFORMANCE ANALYST recruitment

We have an excellent career opportunity for a Junior Performance Analyst in our Jersey City office. The Junior Performance Analyst will be responsible for performance measurement and reporting on all client portfolios managed by FFTW. Individual portfolio performance calculation will be produced for review and sign-off by the Portfolio Managers.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Calculate and report performance results for sign-off by Portfolio Managers.

• Work with custodians, trustees, and portfolio managers to resolve all market value differences to within 20 basis points of the net asset value of the portfolio.

• Maintain benchmarks on a monthly basis.

• Produce and analyze market value reconciliations as required.

• Participate in monthly Client Service meetings to review outstanding account discrepancies.

• Prepare standard and customized reports for third parties, as required.

• Review and upload adjustments and corrections to the FFTW accounting system as appropriate.

• Special projects as required.

Ideal Personal Profile:

• Excellent working knowledge of fixed income securities, foreign exchange and fixed income derivatives.

• Highly numerate and detail oriented. Must be comfortable with complex mathematical concepts and calculations.

• Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high energy environment that is deadline driven and detail-oriented.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Works well under pressure.  Candidate will be strong team player, self-motivated, and industrious and able to work unsupervised when necessary.

• Flexible but effective time manager who is able to prioritize responsibilities, manage several simultaneous projects from inception to completion.

• An individual of unquestionable integrity who would be an excellent representative of the firm on both a personal and professional basis and who has the ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.

Academic Background and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or a related discipline. Excellent academic credentials with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.  

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience within Fixed Income Operations or Middle Office.

• Strong computer skills; with advanced skills in Excel and Visual Basic.
