JUNIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER AND ANALYST MONEY MARKETS TEAM

FFTW is the global fixed income provider for BNP Paribas Investment Partners. We have an excellent career opportunity for a Junior Portfolio Manager and Analyst with the Money Markets Team in our New York office. The Money Markets team is responsible for portfolio management of several USD money market funds and providing cash investment strategies for portfolios.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Work with PMs to invest cash positions across numerous accounts in money market securities following all guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Actively monitor credit, money market and government portfolio positions, weights and concentrations, ensuring pre- and post-trade compliance.
- Coordinate with brokers, operations and back-office support for smooth settlement processes.
- Work with Credit team in monitoring short-term issuers, maintaining short-term credit files gathering relevant information pertaining to recent credit events at each company and writing brief reviews on each credit.
- Proactively communicate credit concerns, sector overviews and investment ideas to PM team.
- Prepare client reporting materials and support sales and client service groups by developing materials as needed.
- Coordinate internal / external data requests.

Academic Background and Experience:
- Three – five years of experience in a fixed income asset management role.
- Advanced technical skills particularly working with Bloomberg, Excel and proprietary financial systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or related discipline coupled with excellent academic credentials.
- CFA designation preferred.
