Junior Portfolio Manager recruitment
BlackRock's Fixed Income team manages more than $1.2
trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active
long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The
platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's
broadest array of investment choices across index, model-based and
fundamental investment styles.
The Model Based Multi Sector fixed income team is looking
to add a junior portfolio manager with approximately 3 years of
experience in finance. The successful candidate will work
closely with Government, MBS and EM portfolio managers.
Additional relationships will be formed with with BlackRock's
iShares Group (iSHares), Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) and Risk
Quantitative Analysis Group (RQA).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in general portfolio
management, executing the group's investment strategy consistently
across accounts. - Work with senior PM to assist in
managing daily portfolio activity - Maintain general sector allocations
and consistency with the group's portfolio strategy. - Work closely with the Global Client
Group and iShares groups, coordinating client requests with general
portfolio investment strategy and daily investment
activity. - Maintain overall portfolio
compliance and organize the resolution of issues with the
appropriate individuals. - Work on various assignments as it
pertains to the junior role. - Contribute to the group's primary
objective of generating alpha for clients.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years professional work
experience in the financial services sector. - Working knowledge of the financial
markets, with familiarity in fixed income products and
investing. - Excellent quantitative skills;
proficient with Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg experience a
plus - Demonstrated planning and
organization skills and the proven ability to work efficiently
under pressure. Ability to work with challenging situations
in a mature manner. - Genuine interest in fixed income
investing and ability to develop market and sector
views. - Successful experience working both
independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced,
entrepreneurial environment; drive to succeed.
