Junior Project Manager/Project Coordinator Job in Byfleet, Home Counties UK

We are looking to recruit a project co ordinator / junior project manager, ideally from a technology focused industry such as telecoms, IT or technical engineering to join this market leading business, based in Byfleet (Near Junc 10 of M25).

The ideal candidate must have experience of working as a project coordinator on projects involving logistically dispersed hardware deployments, especially useful would be WAN deployments, in a technical environment, with experience of sales order processing through to project closure and working on a day to day basis to support the Project Manager.

Salary is a top end at 28k.

The company provide installation and integration of media equipment into entertainment venues across Europe and this role will be working in the project office, initially in a project co ordination role but we are keen to employ someone who is looking to progress into a technical project management position.

This role will involve the delivery of media cinema systems to UK and European customers, and on this basis, any experience of working with European wide customers would be viewed as a definite advantage.

• Engineer liaison diary management
• In-country integrator liaison
• Project tracking, reporting and analysis
• Database data entry
• Issue management
• Escalation management (non-technical)
• Project documentation (non-technical)
• Purchasing
• Invoicing
• Reporting
• General administration tasks
• Ad-hoc sales opportunities
• Completion of daily, weekly and monthly tasks
• Occasional European visits

A key selling point for the role would be the fact that the Project Coordinator will be expected to own and run projects covering all required project management aspects. Starting with small projects this will grow in size and importance as the employee skills develop.

Requirements:

Language

Must be fluent in written and spoken English
Preference will be given to candidates with fluency in additional languages, preferably Spanish, French or German.
Technical industry background - Telecoms, Media, IT, Engineering
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Project management methodology such as Prince 2 would be an advantage but the company would be willing to train the candidate and place them through Prince 2 training.

Work Pattern is a normal 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Benefits package includes pension, healthcare and 5% annual bonus.
