Department Overview:
The Trading department is responsible for both identifying providing detailed solutions to take advantage of market opportunities improve the performance of trading systems. The team trade on various financial markets in the European region using the Company’s own capital, taking on only a minimal risk profile. Trading requires a good understanding of many factors influencing the markets a thorough understanding of the supporting infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing one or a number of options products or strategies
- Growing the profitability of your trading product
- Maintaining low/appropriate risk levels
- Analysis of Trading PL
- Analyzing large volumes of real world financial and price information
- Back-testing for refinement and optimization of systems and maximization of trading PL
- Assist with evolving the firm’s trading strategies to keep pace with market developments
- Coding solutions to improve the performance of the systems you use daily
Skills:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Applied Math’s
- Excellent Programming skills (with C++, Java, C#, C or similar)
- Experience with Matlab preferred
- Excellent Mathematical skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills a desire to innovate
- Be keen to gain practical experience in trading and delivering solutions into a production environment
- Be a reliable quick thinker who can work under pressure
- Team player that can work independently and unsupervised
