Junior Quantitative Researchers – High Freq UK Hedge Fund recruitment

Quant-driven Hedge fund is seeking Junior-level Quant Researchers to join their Ultra-High Frequency trading team. Prior experience in finance is not required, although they would expect the successful candidate to express a demonstrable interest in learning the markets. The Fund are a London-Based team of around 100 employees focused entirely on Systematic Trading.

They are looking to grow their group working at the cutting edge of ultra-high frequency trading - a space where they have been considered market-leaders for a number of years. The team's responsibilities are for the analysis and implementation of short term trading strategies (including what would be termed high frequency strategies).

Joining as a Quant Researcher, you will play a critical role in researching, designing, implementing, back testing and executing automated strategies. You will be responsible for strategies running live in the market, whilst continually fine-tuning existing strategies and learning from senior team members. The firm has a research orientated culture with frequent cross-pollination of ideas. The environment is informal: there is no dress code, and you will be judged on the quality of your work rather than the hours you spend at desk, with an exceptional bonus-driven remuneration structure.

Ideally you will possess a PhD/MSc in a Quantitative discipline (Maths, Physics, Statistics, Comp Sci etc) from one of the world’s best universities. Experience with tick data within any industry will be beneficial. Some level of programming experience with vector-based or object-orientated languages is required. Eligibility to work in the UK is also a prerequisite.
