Client:
This is an opportunity to start your career in quantitative trading with an exceptional high frequency trading and market making firm. To be eligible to apply, you will recently have been awarded a PhD in a quantitative/ stochastic subject from a Top 100 university and you are looking to use your programming and research expertise to enter the challenging and rewarding field of high frequency algorithmic trading.
The client has a state of the art infrastructure that sets the standard for all major players in the industry and they require candidates with a superb track record of academic success from a top tier university for their junior quantitative trading program. Only candidates who fit the listed criteria will be considered for the opportunity to give their careers a flying start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn to develop and back test fully automated algorithm trading strategies across multiple asset classes.
- Assist in the generation of trading strategies from concept to implementation.
- Design internal systems where necessary in relation to strategy execution, risk management and back-testing framework.
- Focus on high frequency, risk averse market making, arbitrage and spread strategies.
Experience and Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL
- Maximum 1 year of any quantitative experience (candidates with more than a year will not be considered).
- A PhD/ MPhil in (but not limited to) any of the following and their related fields: Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.
- FOR DEVELOPERS: Exceptional abilities in C++/ C# programming.
BONUS
- A proven ability in statistical analysis of stochastic process, probability, etc.
- Time series analysis including spectral analysis, seasonality, linear modelling and time series correlation.
- Extensive analysis with game theory of evolutionary algorithms.
- FOR TRADERS: A high level of C++/ C# programming.
