What you’ll do
As our new Junior Risk Analyst you will be working in an ambitious and results-driven team, right on the trading floor. Your main responsibility will be analysing and monitoring the risks related to our trading activities in various financial products across the globe. Next to that you will develop extensive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while monitoring their transactions, reporting on risks and evaluating trading activities.
In short, you will be:
- Proactively conducting scans on trading risks;
- Monitoring and reporting risk violations to the Head of Risk and Trading department;
- Monitoring transaction and capital limits set up with brokers and clearing;
- Evaluating arbitrage activities, hedging methodologies and trading models;
- Analysing and reconciling theoretical PL’s reported by the Trading department;
- Developing and implementing new risk methodologies;
- Establishing relationships with internal stakeholders and advise them on several risks;
- Maintaining contacts with clearing banks, brokers, exchanges and regulatory authorities.
What you’ll need
- An academic degree in Economics, Finance, Econometrics or equivalent;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Experience using Excel and VBA;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Great attention to detail and a well-structured mind;
- An affinity for financial markets and trading;
- A positive and enthusiastic nature.
