Jr. Software Developer - Java, SQL, OOP - IBM / Maximo - VB.NET, SQL Server, WebSphere Admin
If you are a Jr. Software Developer withwith 1+ year of experience with Java or comparable object-oriented language and SQL, please read on!
We have an immediate need for a Junior Software Engineer that is proficient in SQL and Java programming to join our technical support team. We are looking for a self-starter with strong logic skills who is eager to learn and be mentored to handle various aspects of implementing, operating and supporting the Maximo System.
What you need for this position:
- Java or comparable OOP language
- SQL
**Candidates who possess Maximo expertise will be considered for a more Senior role**
"Nice-to-have":
- Java
- VB .Net
- SQL Server administration (Oracle administration a possible alternative)
- Websphere administration
What you'll be doing:
- Support Maximo platform configurations, including, Maximo, versions 4.1.1 through 7.x or higher, Websphere, SQL Server 2000 and higher, Windows Server 2000 and higher, and VMware
- Respond to and resolve client issues relating to Technical issues and Maximo errors and problems
- Work with IBM on Maximo problems or maintenance
- Participate in the development of Maximo customizations, interfaces, and other initiatives to enhance our clients’ use of Maximo
- Load client data, utilizing the Maximo Integration Framework where possible
- Utilize technical knowledge and skills to continually improve our internal processes, contributing toward the overall efficiency of day to day operations
- Become proficient in all technical aspects of implementing and supporting the Maximo application and be available to go on-site to clients to implement or troubleshoot technical solutions
