Jr. Software Engineer - Print Stream Manipulation Software Developer - Leading Enterprise Software Firm

If you are a Junior Software Engineer with 1 year of experience in application development or software support, Please read on!

We are a leading supplier of enterprise software for production of transactional documents with solutions covering collaborative application design, print stream manipulation, document composition or re-engineering. We have continuously been at the forefront of software products in our industry. Our customers range from Fortune 500 companies to some of the largest print and mail operations in the world!

What you need:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science/technology or related field
* 1 year of experience in application development or software support
* Proficient with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
* Proficient at shell scripting on UNIX/Linux systems
* Familiar with waterfall life cycle and OO methodologies, such as UML
* Proficient with UNIX, Linux, and MS systems
* Familiar with web technologies (Tomcat), XML, JavaScript
* Familiar with database operations and SQL language
* Available for 20% - 30% travel

What you'll be doing:

* Analyze functional and technical requirements in direct relation with clients for design and production of enterprise documents
* Design, develop, test and deploy mission critical applications and document production workflows relying on the Open Print suite of products and languages as well as standard programming languages such as Python, C and/or Java
* Integrate applications with third-party products and existing IT infrastructure
* Perform on-site installation of the applications developed
* Support clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Provide high value consulting services
* Train customers
* Maintain and increase technical skills and expertise on new products and versions
