Job Description :
- Pre-dimensioning, dimensioning and compliance demonstration of primary metal structure components
- Calculation of the static and dynamic strengths including the weight optimization of machined structures using analytical and numerical calculation methods
- Constructive cooperation with manufacturing with respect to concessions, repair solutions and nonconformance reports
- After a period of 3 to 6 months in Belgium, you will be sent to our offices in Seattle for a longer period
Profile :
Education : University degree: Master of Science (MSc) in Aeronautical Engineering / Aerospace Technology / Mechanical Engineering
Languages : Good knowledge of English (written and spoken). Dutch and/or French are a plus.
Skills / Experience :
- 3-5 yrs experience
- Profound structure-mechanical knowledge and knowledge of finite element methods tools (PATRAN/NASTRAN)
- Familiarity with CAD applications as well as Microsoft Office
- Practical experience in aircraft-, automotive- or mechanical engineering
- Experience in design, dimensioning and manufacturing of high loaded (thick walled) structures
