Junior Technical Buyer Job in Den Haag, Zuid Holland Netherlands
The Job
For an international oil gas company we are looking for a Junior Technical Buyer. In this job you are responsible for the processing of purchasing requisitions received from departments and the conversion of this requisitions. You formulate a bidding procedure to firm order or purchase options at best possible price and deliveries within technical specifications and company rules and regulations. You will work in a team with 11 Buyers and are responsible to the Purchasing Supervisor.
For this job we are looking for candidates with a technical background and some buying, purchasing or procurement experience or who would like to gain this experience.
Tasks and responsibilities
* responsible for the purchase of equipment, spare parts, electrical and instrumentation, chemicals and services at the most economic prices and best deliveries in accordance with technical specifications
* recommend and assist in the registration and maintenance of a list of potential compettitve bidders based on experience gained in bidding procedures and regular reviews of the global market and contacts wiht the major vendors
* evealuate bids received against RFQ's and make commercial recommendations and secure required technical approvals of recommendend bids
* conduct order award negotiations after all required approvals have been obtained to ensure efficient and timely execution of the purchase order
* ensure that for the bidding process only highly qualified vendors are considered and selected
* initiate on-site visits to vendor facilities to evaluate vendor capabilities
* attend world trade expositons and seminars to stay aware of all new and/or existing developments in materials supply and procurement
Job requirements
* minimal Bachelor degree, preferably in technical direction
* general knowledge of the purchsing processes
* fluency in the Spanish and English language
* understanding of material, equipment and manufacturing processes
* pro-active attitude
Organization
Our originator is an international oil gas company and has locations all over the world. TheJunior Technical Buyer is seated in the region of Den Haag, but works for departments in Latin-America and Europe. Location Den Haag has 60 employees with 20 nationalities. The main language is English but Spanish is also spoken often.
