Founded in 1987 GFI provides competitive inter-dealer brokerage services in a multitude of global cash and derivatives markets, including credit derivatives and fixed income, foreign exchange and financial derivatives, equity, energy and commodities.
Key tasks, duties and quality standards in meeting department purpose/objectives
- Responsible for timely and accurate trade entry using in-house trade capture systems
- End of day reconciliation for all trades.
- Work closely with front office to resolve customers’ discrepancies or queries as they arise and escalate when appropriate.
- Report revenue to managers of the front office.
- Maintain up to-date records of customers.
- Dealing with ad-hoc duties as and when arises
Person specification
We are looking for a team focused and enthusiastic individual, able to thrive in a demanding and fast paced environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also have:
- 1-2 years or more relevant working experience in a back/middle office/operations role specifically in Equity Trade Support
- Computer Literate (Microsoft office essential)
- Ability to work with a mixture of staff at various levels and with different cultural backgrounds
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to prioritise and remain focused within a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills – fluent business standard English is essential
- Able to work within a team and on own initiative
