Job Description
The KBE Engineer is responsible for working daily with Studio Engineering in applying the latest in Parametric design tools to develop feasibility. Develop and apply Knowledge Base Engineering (KBE) based study and part templates in CATIA V5 and NX based on Chrysler Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Coordinate with other vehicle systems to document SOPs and develop consistent vehicle level relationships. Application work will include component/systems for theme feasibility and for production release. Multiple positions are available.
Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (BSME, BSAE, BSEE) from an ABET accredited university
- Other educational credentials may be considered, only if accompanied by appropriate and relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from an ABET accredited university
- Automotive Engineering experience desired in one or more of the following areas: Body Exterior (exterior lighting, bumpers, wipers, mirrors), Body-In-White (BIW), Interior, Chassis, Vehicle and Occupant Packaging
Parametric Design Experience in Catia V5 or NX - Previous Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) experience highly desirable
- Vehicle assembly process knowledge and system and component tooling and process experience
