KDB & C## F/O Developer – Energy Trading- London – £55

My client is urgently recruiting for a KDB Developer (ideally with a solid OO C# development background - but can be flexible). They are a market leading Energy Trader, supplying gas and electricity services to businesses and customers across the UK.

The role is for an experienced KDB Developer with solid C# front to back  (WCF / WPF) development skills to join their trading tech development team. The role will involve regular communications with the Trading Systems team members, business users, business analysts and quantitative analysts to ensure the work is consistent with business expectations and the trading software roadmap.  The role will entail full lifecycle development with active involvement in the requirements gathering through to design/ build, development, testing and 2rd line support. The role is to work on a mature system which is regularly updated with new features (3-4 week development delivery cycles).

Key skills required:

-  Experienced coding in `Q' language for Kdb+ and in the design and administration of Kx databases.

-  Microsoft Excel, its API and programming environment including development of .NET based Visual Studio Tools for Office based customisations and Add-Ins for Excel.

- Software design and development with exposure to Microsoft technologies and related tools; .Net, C#, WPF, Silverlight, WCF Services, SOA and MVVM architectures, MS Visual Studio, MS TFS, Oracle DB 9/10/11g, SQLServer, ASP.NET, Web technologies, OO Design, UML Modelling.

- Strong communication and business liaison skills. Understanding of the trade lifecycle commodities products is ideal.
